We’re passing the tipping point of positive action to mitigate climate impact, and seeing the pace of that change accelerating, including in the private sector. So these awards are important. I encourage you to celebrate your peers and support each other. But most importantly, I encourage you to reach out to those not in this room with you, to use that leadership to deliver the change we need. If we continue to work together, exhibiting the leadership that your winners tonight have, I’m confident that 2022will be a greener, healthier, safer, and more prosperous year than 2021.”

AIRA follows a rigorous multi-tier evaluation process by an independent judging panel. Evaluation of entries involves three rounds of assessments to select the very best in each award category. In addition to assessing the report quality, comprehensive due diligence is carried out to consider the finalists’ reputation among their stakeholders as part of the judging process.
The awards ceremony was attended by more than 250 senior business leaders and sustainability practitioners from 16 countries. Attendees also included dignitaries from academia, embassies, trade associations and advocacy organisations.
