The present economic crisis in Sri Lanka has caused the populace to limit their budgets and struggle to get basic necessities. This has had a serious impact on the most disadvantaged households.
Oxford College of Business together with World Vision Lanka discovered several students from grades 1 – 11 from Virumuthu Preschool, Seruvila Maha Vidhyalaya and Kiravatkuli Sivaskathi Vidhyalam whose families were unable to afford the necessary school supplies for the upcoming school year. This project gave a total of 140 deserving children access to education and necessary school materials, allowing them to discover their true potential to become leaders of our nation.
The project was also aligned with the UNSDG4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
