Association of Business Executives (UK)

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is British Ofqual- recognised awarding organisation that has been operating internationally for more than 40 years. Ofqual is the UK government’s official qualification regulatory authority. Organisations have to meet exciting standards in order to be Ofqual recognised and its logo on a qualification certificate is in effect a mark of quality. ABE is recognised as an Awarding Body by the UK Government’s regulator, the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), as well as equivalent bodies worldwide.

Following the introduction of the new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in the UK, ABE has taken the opportunity to thoroughly revise its suite of qualifications in order to provide the most relevant and focused learning experience for students. ABE’s new QCF qualifications are examined at Level 4 Diploma, through to Level 6 Diploma.

ABE qualifications provide a framework for you to progress through successive levels as you develop your skills and knowledge of business. The structure enables you to build on what you learn until you reach your intended level and then move on to your ultimate objective – such as university or a job based on your qualification.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), founded in 1919, is the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants, with members and students operating in 177 countries, working at the heart of business. CIMA members and students work in industry, commerce, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations. CIMA works closely with employers and sponsors leading-edge research, constantly updating its qualification, professional experience requirements and continuing professional development to ensure it remains the employers’ choice when recruiting financially-trained business leaders.
CIMA and American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) joined forces in 2012 to provide accounting professionals with a new level of resources and recognition by introducing the globally certified Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation holder. In January 2017, CIMA and AICPA evolved the joint venture in creating the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (also known as the Association) that marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the financial and accounting profession. It brings together the resources and capabilities of both organisations to advance management and public accounting and drive opportunity, trust and prosperity through excellence in finance and accounting globally.
The Association represents 667,000 members and students in public and management accounting and advocates for the public interest and business sustainability on current and emerging issues. With broad reach, rigor and resources, the Association advances the reputation, employability and quality of CPAs, CGMA designation holders and accounting and finance professionals globally.

University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire is a public university in England with campuses in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. University of Bedfordshire has 22,000 students, including approximately 4,500 international students. It is spread across four campuses: there are two campuses in Bedfordshire in Bedford, and Luton; and two campuses in Buckinghamshire, in Aylesbury for students studying Nursing and Midwifery, and in Milton Keynes, where business studies, electronic engineering, and telecommunications are taught.


The University of Luton had its roots in the Luton Modern School, which was established in 1908 and the Luton Modern School and Technical Institute which opened in 1937. This became Luton College of Higher Education with the merger of Luton College of Technology and Putteridge Bury College of Education in 1976. It obtained university status in 1993. The Bedford campus of De Montfort University was originally part of the Bedford College of Higher Education, which stemmed from Bedford Teacher Training College, founded in 1882, and Bedford Physical Training College, founded in 1903. The university was created by the merger of the University of Luton and the Bedford campus of De Montfort University in August 2006 following approval by the Privy Council.

Teaching quality

The University of Bedfordshire is an internationally recognised award winning institution with an excellent academic and teaching reputation. It appears in the Times Higher Education World University rankings and was also ranked as one of the top 200 universities in the world under 50 years old in the Young University rankings.

The University recently celebrated a Silver award in the first ever Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and came sixth in the UK in the People and Planet University Green League. It has high levels of student satisfaction and good graduate employment levels, rising 16 places in the last National Student Satisfaction (NSS) survey.

The Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (UK)

The Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality was established in 1982
to provide recognised standards of management training appropriate to the needs of the hotel and travel industries, via its syllabi, examinations and awards.
CTH programmes are continuously developed and improved to ensure
they are relevant and up to date. This is carried out under the careful scrutiny and supervision of experts in all aspects of the hotel, tourism and travel industries.
